Essential TremorHello. I’m Sam. I was hoping you could embed a video that I made on your blog so that somehow, with a lot of luck and work, my life could be changed.
I’ve had a condition called Essential Tremor for most of my life. It’s a movement disorder, not unlike Parkinsons. It has made daily life a very difficult task. It has created an excess of adrenaline in my system, making performing a complete pain. It is even difficult to raise my hand in class, because my fight or flight system is so messed up that I freeze up and begin shaking even more. This is sort of an issue, as my life goals are to be a musical theatre performer and work in medicine and public office.
ET has also made it almost impossible to get a job. My shake prevents me from functioning like a normal employee, and no one will hire someone that physically cannot work.
There is a surgery, but as many Americans are, I am uninsured. It costs around 70 grand.
My hope for getting this video to go viral is not for internet fame. It’s not to become relevant on Tumblr. It’s for the slight chance of me getting noticed by someone that could help me.
